A founding partner of BrazeauSeller.LLP, Fred Seller is a legal strategist and trusted advisor to his clients.  Fred has also enjoyed handling a number of high profile cases for the firm. In addition to the areas of practice listed above, Fred's practice includes commercial financing, mortgage remedies, creditor and debtor law and bankruptcy and insolvency matters. Fred is also a registered trade-mark agent.

With Fred's expertise and depth, he regularily handles a variety of transactional matters involving acquisitions and sales of businesses, as well as the acquisition, sale and refinancing of commercial real estate properties. As a litigator, he has overseen various business separations, buy-outs and liquidations. Fred regularly counsels corporations, shareholders and directors about operations and structure, and provides guidance on individual liability and tax issues.

In the summer of 2010, Fred was elected to serve a 3 year term on the International Board of Directors of Meritas Law Firms Worldwide. 

In addition to his rewarding legal career, Fred takes great pride in his volunteer work for various charities throughout the Ottawa community. Fred is currently the co-chair of the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation's Courage Campaign which is in the second phase of a $50 million campaign.  In 2005 and 2006, Fred was co-chair of the Ottawa Citizen-Ottawa Jewish Federation Golf Tournaments.  He is also a past chair of the United Jewish Appeal, Legal Division, and currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Ottawa Jewish Community School.

In the spring of 2000, Fred was chosen by the Ottawa Business Journal as one of the top 40 entrepreneurs under the age of 40 in the National Capital Region.

Fred has a Bachelor of Commerce with a concentration in Accounting from McGill University and a law degree from the University of Ottawa. He has been a member of the Ontario Bar since 1988. Fred is married to Stacey, his high school sweetheart, and has three daughters, Lauren, Ali and Ronni. He is an avid sports fan and an active participant in a number of sporting activities, including waterskiing, downhill skiing, ice hockey and Ultimate Frisbee.
