Printer-friendly  | Jim R. Anstey Associate | Jim Anstey practises in our employment law group. He joined BrazeauSeller.LLP in 2011 after spending the first seven years of his career at a large national law firm where he practised exclusively in labour and employment law and health law. Jim’s employment law practice involves providing advice on every aspect of the employment relationship, including hiring, employee terminations, discipline, accommodation, human rights and occupational health and safety (including workplace violence and harassment). Jim regularly advises employers on the necessity and adequacy of workplace policies.
Jim represents employers and employees in wrongful and constructive dismissal claims, grievance arbitrations, human rights proceedings and occupational health and safety prosecutions. He has appeared before various administrative tribunals and regularly appears before the Superior Court of Justice. Jim has spoken at various employment law conferences and has instructed university students in human resources courses.
Jim was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2004, having graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2003. Prior to attending law school, Jim completed a Bachelor of Arts (French and Political Science) at Memorial University of Newfoundland. He practises in both official languages.
Jim is married and has two young sons. When he is not running around after his children, he likes to keep active with running, hiking and skiing. Bar Admissions Ontario, 2004
