As Department head in BrazeauSeller.LLP’s real estate group, Steven Sheppard focuses primarily on commercial purchase and sale transactions, secured lending transactions and commercial leasing.

Steve acts on many large commercial real estate transactions at BrazeauSeller.LLP.  He also has significant experience advising both lenders and borrowers in relation to commercial loan transactions and regularly acts for both landlords and tenants in commercial leasing transactions.

Prior to being called to the Ontario Bar in 2004, Steven completed his articles with BrazeauSeller.LLP. He is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick Law School, where he received the Joseph Sears Scholarship for academic merit during his graduating year. Steven began his studies at the Memorial University of Newfoundland, obtaining a Master of Arts in political science. As part of his post-graduate studies, he spent a year studying international politics and law at the University of Limerick in Ireland. While completing his law degree, Steven served as the Chair of the University of New Brunswick Disciplinary Committee, dealing with various incidences of student misconduct.  

In his spare time, Steven loves to stay active and he plays in a number of basketball leagues in Ottawa. He also enjoys playing golf, football and tennis.
